A Farce by Tom Rooney Directed by Keith Soester Produced by Sharon Rill Carl and Phil are a pair of budding restaurant owners who hope to popularize their new restaurant. An eatery across town has been crowded since a notorious mobster was shot there. What if someone was murdered in their restaurant? This hilarious play features mistaken identities, gunshots, an unhelpful cop, a heavily accented mobster, an attractive woman getting sloppy drunk, and an amazing finale! This play won the New American Comedy Festival Award. Pulitzer Prize Winner by Thornton Wilder Directed by John Zimmerman Produced by Nancy Ridgeway Described by Edward Albee as "the greatest American play ever written," the story follows the small town of Grover's Corners through three acts: "Daily Life," "Love and Marriage," and "Death and Eternity." Narrated by a stage manager and performed with minimal props and sets, audiences follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and die. Director/Choreography by Cat Miller A Family Friendly Musical Beloved by all school age children, this Caribbean adaptation of the popular fairytale of The Little Mermaid with overtones of Romeo and Juliet, garnered eight Tony nominations for its Broadway run. It tells the story of a peasant who rescues and falls in love with a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. The fantastical gods who rule the island guide the girl on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and death. Watkin Directed by Ken Weigert & Keith Soester Produced by Sharon Rill A Family Friendly Show Gramps is fearful that after his death, his young orphaned grandson Pud will be placed in the care of his cranky, moralizing Aunt Demetria. When the Angle of Death, in the form of Mr. Brink, comes for Gramps, the old man tricks him into climbing the old apple tree, which will not allow anyone to come down unless Gramps says they can, and Death is trapped in the tree and cannot take Gramps or anyone else. While honeymooning, Peter gradually realizes that the woman by his side is not the same person that he married. The wedding kiss caused Rita's soul and the old man's to change places! Peter must track down the old man's aging and diseased body, inhabited by Rita's soul, to free his young wife's spirit before it's too late. Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Stephen Sondheim characterizes this masterpiece as a "Musical Thriller." A Very Town and Country Christmas!

The Town & Country Players present our very own take on the Christmas holiday with our 5th Annual A Very Town and Country Christmas! A delightful excursion from our usual fare of plays and musicals, the Players present this festive Christmas themed show complete with classic Christmas songs for a unique Christmas event to be enjoyed by the whole family.

Performances: December 15, 16 (matinee)

Location: James-Lorah House at 132 N. Main Street in Doylestown. Patrons can utilize on-street parking and the Doylestown public parking garage, located one block down the hill from James-Lorah House on Broad St.
